Layer 2: The Intelligence Directorates

Command centers for managing and pre-processing information.

What It Is

These are the intelligent management layers that act as "commanders" for the thousands of agents in the Sensor Network. Their primary task is to bring structure to the chaos of raw information and ensure that only high-quality, relevant, and pre-processed data reaches the higher analytical layers.

Three Directorates by Area of Responsibility

GEOSPHERE

Manages agents that monitor the physical world, from satellite imagery to transportation data.

INFOSPHERE

Coordinates agents that analyze the world of knowledge: scientific publications, patents, and OSINT.

REGULOSPHERE

Directs agents that track the world of rules: legislative bills, court cases, and geopolitics.

Key Tasks of the Directorates

  • Agent Management: The Directorates are responsible for the agent lifecycle: deployment, dynamic scaling, and deactivation based on commands from the Continuity Engine or ESM.

  • Aggregation and Filtering: They gather disparate data streams from thousands of agents and perform the first, most critical filtering step—removing noise and duplicates.

  • Verification and Enrichment: The Directorates cross-reference data to confirm its validity and enrich it with initial context before sending it to the Cortex.

Why It Matters

This layer serves as a critical "pre-processor" that protects the Strategic Cortex from being overloaded with raw, unstructured data. This hierarchical approach makes the entire Assetro architecture extremely efficient and scalable.
