Layer 3: The Tactical Operations Core
Assetro's tactical core for execution and monitoring.
What It Is
The Continuity Engine is the tactical counterpart to the strategic "Cortex." It is also a multi-agent system, but it is more centralized and composed of agents built on more powerful LLMs than those in the intelligence directorates. Its sole purpose is to efficiently execute and monitor the active "Strategic Plan," freeing up the Cortex's resources for high-level analysis and continuous learning.
The Core's Operational Cycle
Receiving Orders: The Core receives an active "Strategic Plan" from the Cortex and formulates from it a clear set of "watchtowers"—key events and triggers to monitor.
High-Speed Monitoring: Unlike the Cortex, which sees the entire battlefield, the Core focuses its resources. It simultaneously tracks specific "watchtowers" and acts as the first line of defense, scanning the network for unforeseen events that require immediate intervention.
Instant Reporting: When a trigger event occurs—whether planned or unforeseen—the Core does not analyze it deeply. It immediately reports to the Cortex for strategic reassessment and sends an alert to the ESM.
Why It Matters
The separation of strategic (Cortex) and tactical (Continuity Engine) responsibilities is a key architectural advantage of Assetro. This ensures that the system is simultaneously both deeply intelligent and incredibly fast in its response. This duality allows for insights that are not only profound but also timely, providing a decisive edge in fast-moving markets.
